World Magnetic Conference: Professor Kampker Joins Steering Committee

02/02/2023

Professor Achim Kampker, founder and head of the chair "Production Engineering of E-Mobility Components" (PEM) of RWTH Aachen University, has joined the steering committee of the World Magnetic Conference (WMC). The event is held twice a year as part of "Coiltech," one of the largest international trade shows for electric motors. Kampker is a co-inventor of the Streetscooter and is regarded nationally and internationally as an expert on electric mobility components and concepts in teaching and research. At the same time, Kampker has many years of experience in the management of start-ups and established companies.

"In the public discussion about electric mobility, much of the focus is on the battery – with equally decisive components such as the electric motor almost forgotten," says Kampker. "Efficient production processes for electric motors are of central importance to the success of electric mobility." Over the years, the Coiltech event and the associated World Magnetic Conference have become a central industry meeting place and thus a platform for exchange between industrial and academic development. "Professor Kampker's expertise will significantly strengthen the professional quality of our event," says World Magnetic Conference President Professor Villani of Italy's University of L'Aquila.

The next Coiltech exhibition and "World Magnetic Conference" will be held in Augsburg on March 29th and 30th. Those interested can register online.
