We and our staff stand for groundbreaking research and innovation in the field of electric mobility. In our key research areas B attery Production Technologies, Battery Engineering Electric Powertrain, Automotive Assembly, Body Shop, Plastic Components and Autonomous Systems, we are developing and enhancing production processes of electric vehicles and its components.
Application-oriented research projects are complemented by a large number of collaborations with industry. For our activities, we have an excellent infrastructure in place: Our Center for Electric Vehicle Production, ZEP for short, which includes the eLAB and the Ramp-up Factory, offers facilities and equipment to address questions and problems along the entire electric vehicle production value chain.
Doctoral studies at our institute offer graduates outstanding opportunities for personal and professional development. Early on, our members of staff take on responsibilities in various industrial and research projects, from acquisition to management and implementation.
